Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) returns in
the seventh episode of "Supernatural" season 12 and takes on the body
of a rockstar. Can Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester
stop his plot of mass destruction?
In the last episode, the hunters
gathered to celebrate the life and death of Asa Fox (Shaine Jones), until a
string of events disrupted the occasion. Dean and Sam's mother Mary (Samantha
Smith) is back. However, things turned quickly when she was offered by the Grim
Reaper to go back to heaven.
The show turns a new leaf when the god
of the underworld returns to earth. In the seventh episode titled "Rock
Never Dies," Lucifer decides to occupy the body of a rockstar named Vince
Vicente (Rick Springfield).
In the official synopsis of the series, Vince also
known as Lucifer thinks that he can make his fans do whatever he wants. He
plans to slaughter the fans of the VIP concert, creating absolute chaos. The
team enters the underbelly of the music industry to stop him.
There are rumors that another character
will be back to get his revenge on Lucifer. Former god of the underworld,
Crowley (Mark Sheppard), will finally make Lucifer pay for what he did after he
turned his body into a vessel to go back to earth.
There are reports that Jeremy Carver
will be leaving the show to focus on the new series, "Frequency."
According to TV Line, he will be replaced by Robert
Singer and Andrew Dab.
Carver was a scriptwriter for
"Supernatural" when the show was still in its third season. He goes
back five years later as the showrunner of the series.
"Supernatural" season 12 is
produced by Warner Bros. Pictures. The seventh episode, "Rock Never
Dies" will be aired on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
