The seventh season of "Hawaii
Five-O" is one episode shy away from its mid-season finale. A slew of new
love interests, family reunions and more are expected when the show goes back
on air in December for its tenth episode.
In an interview with TV Guide, executive producer Peter
Lenkov said that the story of Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Catherine
Rollins (Michelle Borth) is not yet over — a development that was a
surprise since O'Loughlin announced that he will be in the show only until its
eighth season.
"As long as people are watching
the show, we would keep going," Lenkov said, adding, "If Alex elects
not to come back, that's obviously going to be his choice. But we're moving
forward as if the show's going to keep going."
Lenkov also warned fans to prepare for
a cliffhanger mid-season finale. "Hawaii Five-O" is known for
characters that are left in impossible situations everytime the show goes on
its mid-season episode, so expect the same to happen in its seventh
installment.
There are rumors that the team will go out
to investigate a 10-year old case. The tenth episode titled "Ka Luhi (The
Burden)" revolves around the story of a teenager who went missing. A boy
suffering from post traumatic stress disorder says that he may have witnessed
her murder, after he is under hypnosis.
Also, a new romance storyline is
buzzing. Danny William's (Scott Caan) sister Bridget is rumored to come in to
the show to attend a business conference, opening a new Oahu love connection in
the series.
Steve is rumored to have a crush, and
it seems that the photos are suggesting that the
girl is going to be Bridget, since they seem to get up close and personal in
the stills.
The seventh season of "Hawaii
Five-0" is produced by K/O Paper Products and 101st Street Television, in
association with CBS Productions. The tenth episode will air on Friday, Dec. 9,
at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
