Brace For Impact As The Robinsons Take You Behind The Scenes Of Netflix’s ‘lost In Space,’ Launching April 13

The Robinsons’ trip hasn’t gone exactly as planned, but one thing’s for sure, they always stick together. Ride along and go behind-the-scenes of their epic adventure with Lost in Space stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Max Jenkins, and showrunner Zack Estrin, in this all new featurette. Lost in Space premieres April 13 on Netflix.

About Lost in Space:

Lost in Space is a Netflix Original dramatic and modern reimagining of the classic 1960’s science fiction series. Stranded along with the Robinsons are two outsiders who find themselves thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception. The unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith played by PARKER POSEY (Café Society, Mascot, A Mighty Wind), is a master manipulator with an inscrutable end game. And the roguish, but inadvertently charming Don West, played by IGNACIO SERRICCHIO (Bones, The Wedding Ringer), is a highly-skilled, blue collar contractor, who had no intention of joining the colony, let alone crash landing on a lost planet.

The Netflix Original series is produced by Legendary Television and written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold, Last Witch Hunter). Zack Estrin (Prison Break) serves as showrunner. The three are executive producers alongside Synthesis Entertainment’s Kevin Burns and Jon Jashni with Applebox’s Neil Marshall and Marc Helwig. The original Lost in Space series was created by Irwin Allen.

Netflix announces release date for Annihilation

Netflix has announced that Annihilation, the anticipated film starring Natalie Portman, will be available on the platform on March 12th. The science fiction horror film also stars Oscar Isaac, Tessa Thompson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, and Tuva Novotny, and is directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, 28 Days Later). It is based on the acclaimed best-selling Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer.

Netflix and YG Entertainment to Launch YG Future Strategy Office with Big Bang’s Seungri

Netflix Inc., the world’s leading internet entertainment service, announced today that it is launching YG Future Strategy Office (FSO, working title), a new Netflix Original Series with YG Entertainment, home to some of Korea’s top talent. YG FSO will launch this year exclusively through Netflix.

Featuring YG artists Seungri of K-pop group BIGBANG, writer/television personality Yoo Byung-jae of SNL Korea fame, Lee Jae-jin of Sechskies, the show will also have various guest appearances by other K-pop groups including BLACKPINK, iKON, and WINNER. The 8-episode series will be directed by Park Joon-soo, known for his unique humor on The God of Music series, and written by Kim Min-seok, who took part in SNL Korea.

YG FSO stars Seungri as the head of YG’s newly formed department, The Future Strategy Office, where many of YG’s troublemakers have been sent. The sitcom series will follow Seungri and his team of misfits as they work to regain their place in the company.

“We are ambitiously introducing the new show YG FSO and are looking forward to it being introduced in 190 countries around the world,” said YG Entertainment’s Park Joon-soo, director of YG FSO series. “We plan on introducing more quality entertainment content that many people can enjoy.”

“We are excited to team up with YG Entertainment and Seungri of BIGBANG to introduce YG FSO,” said Erik Barmack, Vice President of International Original Series at Netflix. “We will continue to bring great Korean content for our viewers around the world to enjoy.”

TFC University Is Now Officially Open, Kicking Off a Yearlong Trek to Reach Young Adults

LONG BEACH, CA, February 20, 2017 – “I’m here to talk about my challenges that I had to overcome in the music industry being a triple minority: as a woman; being Filipino; and standing at 4 feet 11 inches.” This was the memorable introduction from MYX TV Host and Producer, and Co-Founder of mydiveo™ Roslynn Cobarrubias at the recent #TFCUTalks held at the 230-seater Beach Auditorium in the sprawling USC Long Beach Campus. It was an opening greeted by cheers and applause, followed by a brief but noticeable silence. A very brief stillness that for that moment, recognized the truths presented.

They were real. The issues raised by Cobarrubias were real. There are certain molds and expectations that the Filipino American youth are expected to fit in and conform to, oftentimes creating tension and struggle within self when dreams go against templates. That was exactly what was addressed at #TFCUTalks with the theme: Breaking The Mold that featured singer, songwriter and YouTube sensation AJ Rafael, and winner of Food Network’s “Chopped” Chef Charleen Caabay, alongside Cobarrubias.

Caabay, Cobarrubias and Rafael are Filipino American game changers who encountered struggles in their respective life journeys and overcame them by being true to themselves and by committing to a lot of hard work. They shared their incredible journeys to a very attentive and engaged audience at the talks presented by TFCU.

TFCU – The “U” Represents University

TFCU is a student outreach from TFC that seeks to reach out to college students by providing them access to role models within the Filipino American community who could provide inspiration, guidance and mentorship. The “U” stands for “University” because it is when second generation Filipino Americans go to university that they actively want to know more about their being Filipino. TFCU Project Head Troy Espera shares that “the Filipino identity in us wakes up at the university because there are so many organizations on campus that are all about PInoy pride, Filipino American pride, and we discover a lot about our history, our cultural identity. It all happens on college campuses so that is where the “U” comes from.”

Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, “U” also stands for Unity, which TFCU hopes to achieve. Pam Castillo, TFC Global Marketing Head, emphasizes that the vision of TFCU is to “connect Filipino American students to organize Filipino unity and pride on campus and beyond.” This ties in with the disposition of the young people of this generation to embrace acceptance, tolerance, and collaboration to achieve common goals.

For the CSU Long Beach #TFCUTalks, the TFCU core team partnered with the CSULB chapters of Chi Rho Omicron or XPO and Kappa Psi Epsilon, and with Your Filipino Professionals Association (YFPA). There were also representatives from various Filipino-American campus organizations like Kababayan (UC Irvine), Pilipino American Coalition (CSULB), Barkada (Cal Poly Pomona), and Troy Philippines (USC).

TFCU seeks to supplement the campus experience for the community by connecting the young people to experts in various fields who could inspire and empower by sharing life lessons. TFCU Core Team member Beverly Desuasido reveals, “Growing up, we did not have access to role models. So now, since ABS-CBN has access to celebrities, business and technology people, athletes, we want to bring them back to the students so they can empower them, inspire them.”

Espera likewise laments the absence of good examples they could identify with during their time, “When we were in school, we were really hungry for representation of ourselves; role models that talk like us, that look like us, that came from homes like our homes – we did not really have a lot of that. Now we know a lot of people who are connected because of the work that we do, and those people are equally excited to share their experiences. So it is a good time for that.”

Taking advantage of real-life and real-world connections also provides TFCU the ability to embark on a Mentoring Program that they offer to college students. The program connects student organization or individuals with groups like Your Filipino Professionals Association (YFPA). These partnerships would pair student groups with mentors or coaches at the executive or managerial level to provide advice and counseling on projects and initiatives. There would also be one-on-one mentoring on career development in various areas, and guidance in transitioning from the confines of school to the workforce.

Speakers Share Profound and Remarkable Stories

Attendees at #TFCUTalks at the Beach did have a good time listening to the energetic and impressive trio of guest speakers from various fields. On being part of Food Network’s “Chopped,” Chef Charleen confessed, “It was an amazing, amazing feeling. I’ve never felt so confident to be able to break so many stereotypes; being proud that I’m a woman, I’m a Pinay and a proud Filipino American. To be able to instill our culture and Filipino food to the judges, and to be able to allow thousands of people to see this – it’s quite an experience.”

Chef Charleen took the “Chopped” New Year’s Eve win of 2016. Her word to the young: “Know that there is an audience that will recognize the gifts that we have as Fiipino Americans. Whether you are in the arts, in the culinary industry, whether you are a businesswoman or a leader, step out of that box and own it.”

Singer and songwriter Rafael concurs with Chef Charleen in the advice of recognizing one’s gifts and overcoming challenges. He underlines the message by saying “We don’t want Hollywood to create the Asian American narrative for all of us. We got to do it ourselves.”

In the end, Cobarrubias is optimistic that the young audience would be inspired and motivated to follow their dreams and “to really use their culture as a uniqueness and a way to stand apart and be memorable.”

It was almost four hours of animated engagement and give and take between the speakers and the audience. Adobo Nation Co-Host Ginger Conejero and DJ for the masses DJ Mia helped set the tone for the event with their masterful hosting and wicked spinning skills, respectively.

It was an afternoon that resonated with the audience. Melissa shared that “I definitely thought it was special to have these speakers have that one common message to not have yourself be put in a box.” A Kappa Psi Epsilon sister, Adrienne, stated she attended “to learn how to become a leader in the Filipino American community.”

Josh of Chi Rho Omicron in Cal Poly Pomona expressed that #TFCUTalks was “really important because it celebrates the culture of Filipinos and shows the youth that your culture should not hold you back, but instead should make you better.” Another Chi Rho Omicron brother, Jordan, shared how impressed he was. “I did see how strong this community is. Takeaway is not being afraid to show who you are, and do what you want to do and what you believe in.”

TFCU Hopes to Make a Difference

While TFC is a brand already very familiar to the Filipino community, TFCU hopes to be there to make a difference for the second generation. TFCU aspires to play a very important part in inspiring and empowering the young ones to do what needs to be done in the community, while also fulfilling their dreams, without compromising who they are and what they stand for. All these while keeping that unique, second generation Filipino American flair, flavor, and energy.

Espera points out that “TFC is such a strong brand for Filipino Americans. We grew up with it. In our homes, our parents and our aunts and uncles watch it. TFCU is now something for the 2^ndgeneration.”

Another core member Diana Vergara says “#TFCUTalks is like TED Talks. It’s informational and inspirational. We talk about innovation, technology, and different things in the industry.”

#TFCUTalks will be on the road throughout the whole year, reaching out to the young generation across the U.S. and Canada. #TFCUTalks will be going to universities, and in places where universities are not available, they will be at community centers. Watch for TFCU Talks in the following cities: San Diego, Seattle, Honolulu, Virginia Beach; and in New York and New Jersey.

'Naruto Shippuden' episodes 484, 485 release date news, spoilers: Next episodes to focus on Sasuke's struggles; Boruto arc to be released

A new arc is set to be released in the next two episodes of "Naruto: Shippuden." After the focus on Naruto, the story will now revolve around Sasuke. Here's a look on what to expect in episodes 484 and 485 of the popular animé.

GameNGuide reported that the next arc might be based on the manga titled "Sasuke's Story: Sunrise." This is just one of the few arcs that are rumored to be included in the famous series. There are speculations that "Naruto: Shippuden" will go on air until 2017 to cater to the fans' clamor to see Naruto and the gang for a longer time.

Episodes 484 and 485 will focus on the psyche and character of Sasuke, the last of the Konohagure clan.

"Naruto Shippuden" episode 484 titled "Book of Sunrise: The Detonating Man" will revolve around Sasuke's journey to self-discovery. It will uncover his atonement after the fourth Shinobi war and the stories about his crusade against the Dark Thunder Group.

Sasuke will find out that Karyu created the Dark Thunder Group after the Lightning group parted ways. Karyu will be defeated when Sasuke uses the Chidori against him.

In "Naruto Shippuden" episode 485 titled "Book of Sunrise: Coliseum," Sasuke will try to find Orochimaru's headquarters. In his search, he will encounter the leader of the Lightning Group named Oyashiru. Sasuke will ask for information regarding Orochimaru's whereabouts. Oyashiru will inform Sasuke that he can only give the answer he seeks if he joins the battle in the Coliseum and wins.

According to MStars News, the Boruto arc might not be aired soon because two novels might be released first. The two novels are "Naruto: Shikamaru's Story" written by Takashi Yano and "Naruto - Konoha Hiden: Shūgen Biyori" penned by Shō Hinata.

"Naruto Shippuden" episodes 484 and 485 airs Dec. 1 and Dec. 8, respectively.

'The Walking Dead' season 7 episode 6 spoilers: Survivors device a plan to defeat Negan

AMC's "The Walking Dead" season 7 episode 6 titled "Swear" highlights revenge, characters coming back, and a newly discovered community.

Expect to see a lot of side stories happening as fans wait for the heart-wrenching, cliffhanger scenes. The death of one of the original members of Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) group may have shaken the fans' belief that no one in their group can be touched.

TV Guide released a synopsis for episode 6 saying, "A familiar face stumbles upon a brand-new society. Their rules, location and setup are unlike anything that has been seen before."

Shrouded with mystery, there are reports that returning characters Tara (Alanna Masterson), member of the group after the governor's story arc, and Heath (Corey Hawkins), supply runner of Alexandria, discover a community called Oceanside during the two's search for supplies. Living there are survivors on the east coast of the United States, which, according to forums, will have a significant contribution to the group in the future episodes.

Also mentioned in the report is that Rick is on his way to The Kingdom, possibly to get Morgan (Lennie James) and Carol (Melissa McBride).

Another death in Rick's small group is rumored to happen. There is no confirmation yet when but it is believed that this will happen in the upcoming episode. Fans of the comic books have hinted the possibility of Heath's death, either at the end or at the beginning of the Oceanside episodes.

"The Walking Dead" is nearing its mid-season finale, with only three episodes left until they go on another long break. As always, the series will come back again on February. The nail-biting scenes may happen somewhere in the last three episodes that will be aired soon.

"The Walking Dead" is produced by AMC and is now on its seventh season. The sixth episode titled "Swear" will be aired on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.

'Dragon Ball Super' episodes 67 recap, 68 spoilers: Which wish will Shenlong grant?

Toei Animation's animated TV series "Dragon Ball Super" just finished airing its 67th episode and is about to release its 68th.

Titled "A Visit From the Omni - King! Bye - Bye Zamasu!," the viewers of the 67th episode saw the demise of Zamasu and Black Goku. This ended the "Rebellious Zamasu Saga," the fourth and current story arc in the series. The 68th episode is expected to begin the Zen-Chan story arc.

Trunks successfully defeated the villain by slicing him into two, much to the delight of Goku. Their happiness ended when Zamasu transformed into a strange form and covered the skies. Goku and Vegeta tried to eliminate the enemy by transforming into Super Saiyan Blue. Goku pushed himself to the limit and reached into his pocket to find the button from the Omni-King.

After pushing the button, Omni-King appeared and found the transformed Zamasu in the skies. Goku told him to get rid of Zamasu. However, the Omni-King completely ignored Goku and decided to destroy the world instead. To remedy the shocking decision of the Omni-King, the group enlisted the help of Beerus to beat Zamasu. Beerus locked the villain in an entirely different timeline where he will not be able to harm anyone.

Slated to air by the end of December, "Dragon Ball Super's" 68th episode is titled "Come Forth, Shenlong! Whose Wish Shall Be Granted?!" According to a translation of the preview by Todd Blankenship, the story revolves around Goku trying to resurrect Kaio by using the dragon balls.

There have been rumors circulating that Goku is set to die possibly in the 68th episode. The story might be stretched to elaborate on the demise of the well-loved character.

"Dragon Ball Super" is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. The 68th episode will be released on Nov. 27.

'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 episode 6 spoilers: Caroline tries to save the twins from the sirens

Fans of the "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 who watched the fifth episode might be shocked when they found out that Caroline (Candice King) and Alaric's (Matt Davis) twins are missing. Here is a look of what's happening in the sixth episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

According to the synopsis of the sixth episode titled "Detoured on Some Random Backwoods Path to Hell," Caroline needs to explore every possible way to keep her family secure, after the sirens plotted to go after her kids. Regardless of the growing power of the sirens, she will do everything she can to rescue Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and her kids. Stefan (Paul Wesley) will help her save their beloved twins from the hands of their antagonists.

Stefan and Caroline will race against time in order to make the family complete again. The extended teaser of the sixth episode shows that Damon sets up to attack Stefan, but there are no guarantees that he will survive.

GameNGuide reports that the sirens, Seline (Kristen Gutoskie) and Sybil (Nathalie Kelley), want to offer Aracadius, also known as Cade (Wole Parks), a deal to get out of their agreement with the devil. They do not have any plans to harm the children; the twins just remind the sirens what they were like when they were still young.

Enzo (Michael Malarkey) could not counter-attack Sybil's maneuver. There is an extended promo clip shared by Inquisitr detailing the scene wherein Seline tells Alaric that the twins will be okay.

Looks like the fans will have to wait a little longer to see the next episode. "The Vampire Diaries" was on a temporary hiatus to give way to Thanksgiving. Viewers need not worry because they will be back on the first week of December.
